Activity Report for the Year of 2013-14

1.Annual General Meeting:- On 1st of April 2013 the Annual General Meeting of the Society was held which was presided over by Mohd Ayoub Zarger Chairman of the Society. The meeting started with welcome address presided by Mehboob Iqball Batt General Secretary of the Society. After the grate discussion a charter of annual activities for the year 2013-14 was passed. In the meeting it was decided the Society will celebrate all the National Internal Environmental days to intensity the environment activities in the area. It was also decided that Society will also organize the educational awareness program at different level. A donation collection derive will be also organized to provide the financial Assistance to orphan students and widows of the area without any colour caste and religion. The meeting ends with vote of thanks presented by Jamayat Ali Rather Secretary of the Society.

2. Visit to see the science expresses i.e Biodiversity Special:On 29-04-2013 a visit to see the science express i.e. Biodiversity special was organized by Society in collaboration WWF Nature India. About 500 students of various Schools, teachers and volunteer of the society visit to Majalta Nagrota to make the use of science express (Biodiversity Special). The participant visited different stalls kept in different comportment (Bogies) of train. The students get aware about flora and fauna of India besides model of conservation of Biodiversity and science and technology were of great importance and informative.

3. Celebration of world Environmental Day 2013: In order to celebrate the world environmental day 2013 society in collaboration with Principal Govt HSS Kilhotran organized a painting and essay writing competition on the theme conservation of Biodiversity. About 60 students of the school participated in both the events. Cash Prizes and Consolation Prizes were distributed among the participant students.

4. Peace Rally: On 10-08-2014 and 12-08-2014 two peace rallies were organized in collaboration with Anjumen Islamia Committee Bhalessa Sanathan Dharam Bhalessa and and 26RR were organized at sport stadium Changa and HSS Sinoo. In Changa rally was address by Hon, able M.L.A Mohd Sharief Niaz President Anjumen-e-islamia Reyaz Ahmed Zarger. President Santan Dharam Daleep Singh Parihar, Commanding Officer 26RR. Col S.J Tiwari, Chairman Society Mohd Ayoub Zarger and serpanches and other social and political activist of the area. At Sinoo rally was addressed by Principal HSS Sinoo. Col S.J Tiwari, Chairman Mohd Ayoub Zarger, Secretary Jamayat Ali Rather, Sarpanch Ishrat Ali and Kuldeep Singh a social and political activist. The aim of the rallies was to maintain the peace integrity and Communal Harmony in the area.

5. Teacher Conference: in order to celebrate the teachers day 2013 Society in collaboration with Teacher Association Bhalessa organized a one day conference at H.S. Kahara on 5th September 2013. The conference was presided over by I/c Head Master Mr. Farooq Ahmed were as the Chairman of the Society Mohd Ayoub Zarger was chief guest. The conference was attended by the Teachers of Two Educational Zones i.e Bhalessa and Bhatyas in large gathering. The speakers highlighted the contributions of late and ex. president of India Sh. Radha Krishnan. They stresses upon to work as per the expectation of Department, Parent, and students so that educational standard in area could be raised. A joint appeal was made to regularized the services of the RET teacher so that get the justice.

6.Science Exhibition: on 09-09-2013 Educational,Environmental,Social,Sports and Cultural Society Bhalessa Doda In collaboration with Army (26RR) Gandoh organized a Sub divisional level “Science Exhibition” at Halipad Gandoh.About 18 models based on different themes like “Conservation of Biodiversity”, Harnessing of solar energy and Science and technology were presented by various institutions of the area.Tehsildar Gandoh Din Mohd Afaqi,Major Rawat 26RR and Chairman of the society Mohd Ayoub zarger interacted with the students and carried the inspection of the models. The participant students explained about the theme and working of their models. The models were of three categories i.e Middle, Secondery and Higher secondary. In middle level M.S Polie bagged the first prize whereas Girls Higher Secondary Gowari bagged the 2nd and 3rd prizes. At Secondary level HSS Gandoh get ist prize whereas GHSS Gowari and HS Chanti get 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. At Higher Secondary level all the three prizes were bagged by HSS Kilhotran.Later on a prizes distribution function was organized under the president ship of tehsildar Gandoh.Mr.Jamait Ali Agha Secretary of the society who presented the welcome address and also carried the proceeding of the function welcomes all the participant students, teachers and distinguished guest and explains the aims of organizing the science exhibition. Speaking on the occasion chairman of the society M.Ayoub Zarger said that main function of this exhibition was to develop the scientific attitude among the students of the rural area. Citing the example of the great scientist Thamas Elva Addison appeals the students to raise the question in the mind, look for the answer this will enhance the mental ability. He thanked the26RR Gandoh for showing their keen interest in organizing the event. In his presidential address tehsildar Gandoh said that students of this backward area had lot of talent as every model was based on the theme and was appreciable. He appreciated the army and EESS&CS society for organizing the science exhibition. Major Rawat of 26RR unit Gandoh thanked the Sub-Divisional administration Gandoh, Teachers Senior citizens and students for making the program successful. Distinguished prizes and other consolation prizes were also given to the students on the occasion.

7. Seminar on National Integration: On 16-09-2013 a seminar on National Integration was organized at Govt Hr. Sec.School Gandoh Bhalessa. The program was presided over by Hon, able M.L.C Panchayatee Raj Sh. Sham Lal Bhaghat were as Z.E.O Gandoh and Major 26RR were the guest of honour. The programme was attended by Teachers, Parents, students of surrounding schools and senior citizens in large gathering. Speaking on the occasion Hon, able M.L.C said the organizing of such program is need of hours. He appreciated the Society for organizing such program in the rural area. He appeals the general public to strengthen the hands of the Society in organizing such programmers in near future. Distinguished and other consolation prizes were distributed among the participant students. Mr. Jamayat Ali Rather carried out the proceeding of function whereas Mr. Abid Hussain Zarger presented the voter of thanks.

8. Workshop on Fine Art: A 10 days workshop on fine art was organized in collaboration with J&K Accademy for Art Culture and Languages at Gayasia Model School Changa w.e.f 09-09-2013 to 18-09-2013. About 50 students of various Educational Intuitions like H.S.S. Kilhotran and G.D.C Kilhotran, Farediya Model School Kilhotran, HSSS Gowari,Middle School Amarie and Gayasia Model school Changa.The main aim of the workshop was to explore the value of fine art in education. The workshop was inaugurated by Principal Govt Degree college Kilhotran in presence of Distt. Officer Academy Mr Assudullah Wani On the 10th day of the workshop a function was organized which was presided over by Mr. Mohd Ashraf CDPO Gandoh. The master Trainer Sh. Rakesh Kumar presented the 10 days progress in shape of painting and also highlighted the contribution of the fine Art in present past and future. Other who were present the occasion includes Chairman Society Mr. Mohd Ayoub Zarger Gen Secretary Mehboob Iqball Batt Principal Gayasia Model School Changa Mr. Anayatullah.

9. Mass Awareness Program: On 19-09-2013 a mass awareness program was organized at Govt H.S Khara. The function was presided over byM.L.A Sh. Gh Mohd Saroori. The program was attended by Teachers, Parents Students, and other senior citizens of surrounding school in large gathering. Mukamla on moral education and cultural items depicting communal harmony presented by the students of school were the main attraction of the program. The chairman of the Society aware the public about the various welfare scheme like Bati Anmool pre and post metric scholarship scheme Minority, SC,ST, OBC, scholarship schemes. Rs=2800/= were distributed @ 200/= per student through orphan and widow welfare trust (OAWWT) run by this Society. Speaking on the occasion Hon, able MLA GM Saroori appreciated working of the society for organizing such program.

10. Quiz Competition: in order to develop the competitive skill among the students of rural area. A general knowledge Quiz Competition was organized at Girls H.S Budhli. About 10 schools of the surrounding area participated in the competition. All the three positions were bagged the HS Budhli. The program was presided over by Sh, Sham Lal Bhagat. Hon, able MLC. Wereas Mr. Haroon Naikn BDO Gandoh Mr, Shafket Keen KAS were chief guest and Gh. Mustfa Azad was the guest of honor on the occasion. Other who attended program includes Major Budha Singh and Chairman of the Society Mohd Ayoub Zarger.Distinguished and other consolation prizes were distributed among the participants’ students. Rs 4000/= was provided as financial assistance to 20 orphan students @ Rs 200 per student through orphan and widow welfare trust (OAWWT) run by the society.

11. Free education camp: Under the Mission Education for all Society organized free Education Camp at Govt High School Goundoo–A. About 1 30 students from 1st to 8th class belonging to BPL and AAY families were enrolled in the camp. This is third consective comp at this location. The main aim of this camp was to provide the free and quality Education to the students during the long winter vocation, who otherwise remain unattended and their talent goes to waste. In this connection an inaugural Function and Final Function were organized on 03-01-2014 to 20-02-2014 respectively. The participants of the students and the prominent citizens appreciated the society for providing the free Education to the students of the down trodden section of the Society. The volunteer teachers who render their selfless services in the camp were Bashier Ahmed Keen (MA) and Mr. Sujan Singh (BA). A colour full program was presented by the students on the final function of the camp. Serpanches Panches and Various Volunteer of the Society were present on the occasion.

12. Plantation Derive: In order celebrate World Arbor Day 2014 society in collaboration with WWF Nature India and Govt High School Bharthi Organize a volunteer plantation drive in village Bharthi. The plantation drive was inaugurated by Commanding Officer 26RR, Sh. S.Bhradewaj by planting a Deodar plant in the premises of Govt High School Bharthi. Later on a function was organized which was presided over by the Commanding Officer 26 RR. The function was attended by Serpenches, Penches, Senior citizens, Teachers and Students and Volunteers or the society in large gathering. Speaking on the occasion Chairman of the Society, Mohd Ayoub Zarger said 21st of March is celebrated as plantation day at international level and organizing this function is the key Activity of this NGO. He delivers a detail lecture on role of plants on sustaining of life and development on this planet. He further said that Bhalessa was known for its green wealth but unfortunately we have lost this precious wealth due continuous deforestation and these is great need to conserve the forest for future generation. He appeals the people to co-operate with the society for the conservation of forests so that ecological balance could be maintained. In his president address Commanding Officer appreciated the working of the society for organizing such function in rural area. He appeal the general public to strengthen the hand of the Society that green gold could be saved for the future generation. Other who spokes on the occasion includes Sh. Jamayat Ali Agah secretary of the society, Sarpench Bharthi Javed Iqball, Incharge Head Master Sh. Tariq Hussain Mir, it is maintained here that 1000. Non fruit plants were distributed among the villager free of cost. the prominent and volunteer of Society who were present on this occasion Includes Sarpench Kakoo Gh Rasool, Namburdar Deve Lal, Number Dar Bharthi Mohd Sharief Mir, Sh. Reyaz Ahmed Mir, Diwan Singh, Afaq Hussain, Ab Majeed, Mohd Shafi Wani, Mohd Iqball Mir, Asgar Ali mir, Mohd Ayoub Mir, Zeyarat Hussain and Shoket Ali.
